Chinese Spirit – Picture Exhibition Tour of Red Ribbon on Earth
The exhibition tour, ‘Chinese spirit – Picture exhibition tour of red ribbon on earth’, was jointly organized by the Macao Association of Chinese Traditional Culture, the Centre for Chinese History and Culture (CCHC) of University of Macau, the Macao Youth Federation, the Macao Confucian Association and the Macao Lotus Times. The activity aims to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the victory of the Long March of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army, to strengthen Macao compatriots, especially the young generation of Macao, to review and understand Chinese history, to carry forward and inherit the great spirit of the Long March, and to enhance Macao teenagers’ sense of belonging and pride of the country.
Professor Zhu Shoutong, director of CCHC, said that the ancestors shed their blood and paid a painful price for the liberation and revitalization of our nation. We should, therefore, not only cherish today’s hard-won happy life, but also bear in mind the unique national spirit. And that is also the significance of holding this exhibition tour in Macao. The theme exhibition will later enter 20 schools in Macao. It is expected that tens of thousands of Macao teenagers will acknowledge the memorable spirit and history of the long march by viewing the photo exhibition and attending the video lectures.
