The University of Macau (UM) Centre for Chinese History and Culture (CCHC) recently held an opening ceremony for the Master of Arts in Chinese History and Culture programme. Zhu Shoutong, deputy director of the centre; Zheng Dehua, a professor from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature; Tian Weiping, editor-in-chief of South China Quarterly; and Cheang Neng Ian, project manager of the centre, as well as 18 students admitted to the programme participated in the ceremony. Most of the students are teachers from Macao. During the ceremony, Zhu provided some general information about the CCHC and programme.
