The University of Macau (UM) recently held a forum on traditional Chinese culture and regional culture. The event was organised by UM’s Centre for Chinese History and Culture (CCHC), with assistance from East China Normal University and Lingnan Normal University. It attracted scholars of history, literature, language, culture, and philosophy from various higher education institutions. According to Hao Yufan, director of the CCHC, the centre has the responsibility to promote traditional Chinese history and culture. Since its establishment, the centre has organised various academic and exchange activities in order to enhance its capacity for teaching and research in this field.
