The University of Macau (UM) recently held its first forum on Chinese culture. Co-organised by UM’s Centre for Chinese History and Culture, the Think Tank of United Citizens, and a centre for the promotion of Chinese culture and arts in the United States, the event attracted more than 60 writers and scholars from the United States, Canada, Australia, South Korea, mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Officiating guests at the opening ceremony included UM Vice Rector Kou Mei and representative of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, the Cultural Affairs Bureau, and the Tertiary Education Services Office.
