CCHC Visited Pui Va Middle School

The Macao Base for Primary & Secondary Education in Humanities & Social Science has always been committed to collaborating with primary and secondary schools in Macao to promote and educate the subjects of literature, history and arts. On the morning of May 18, 2022 (Wednesday), the Deputy Director of the Centre for Chinese History and Culture of the University of Macau (CCHC), Dr. CHEANG Neng Ian, the Principal Admin Officer, Ms. KUAN Sio In, and the Admin Officer, Ms. Ho Sok Fong, visited Pui Va Middle School to discuss future collaboration.

During the meeting, Dr. CHEANG introduced the purpose of the base, cultural activities, training courses and publications. Moreover, he invited Director Lei Chao Lam and the senior teachers to participate in the “Macau Forum on Education in Humanities and Social Sciences” and visit CCHC, as well as to share their teaching experience with the students of the Master’s Program of the Centre. Afterwards, Director Lei explained that Pui Va Middle School is committed to “patriotism” as its educational objective, and emphasizes the moral and civic education of students, so they often hold history and geography quiz competitions, with the aim of nurturing students to become talented youth who love Macao and love their country.

Director Lei said that through the cooperation with the base in the future, the quality of teaching in the field of humanities and social sciences would be improved. Finally, both sides presented silk banners and school publications as souvenirs.
